Why Most Retirees Underspend In Retirement

Why Most Retirees Underspend In Retirement? It’s a common issue I see again and again.

Turning the switch from accumulating to decumulating in retirement can be hard. Watching your portfolio go down in value is gut-wrenching for some. The fear of running out of money, kids, and grandkids is another common reason why retirees tend to be more frugal in retirement.

I would encourage everyone to have a retirement withdrawal plan. Visually, seeing where you stand is very helpful for most people, and it can bring confidence in spending throughout retirement.
