Raised on a
family farm
My path into financial planning started long before I entered the industry.
Growing up on a family farm, I learned the value of hard work, responsibility, and long-term thinking. There was always another season to prepare for and another decision that could affect future outcomes.
After completing my Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Manitoba, I entered the financial industry and have spent more than a decade helping individuals, families, and business owners navigate important financial decisions.
Over the years, I’ve developed a particular interest in retirement planning, tax strategy, and corporate planning. I enjoy digging into the details, stress-testing ideas, and helping clients understand how different decisions can impact their future.
Most of my time outside the office is spent with my wife, Michelle, and our two daughters. Between gymnastics, hockey, soccer, and everything else on the calendar, life stays busy.
I enjoy staying active and challenging myself through sports. Whether it's running half marathons, playing competitive squash, or working toward a new fitness goal, I appreciate the discipline and focus that come with competition. I like to think I'm the same way with board games, although my friends might tell you I take them a little too seriously.
Some of our favourite family memories have come from exploring new places together. From South Korea and Japan to Namibia and beyond, travel has given us the opportunity to experience different cultures, gain new perspectives, and create lasting memories.
