My interest in financial planning started with financial education.
Before joining Trans Canada Wealth, I spent time teaching young people the basics of money and personal finance. It was a rewarding experience that taught me one of the most valuable lessons I use today: understanding starts with clear communication.
When you’re teaching financial concepts to children, there’s no room for jargon or complicated explanations. You have to break ideas down into simple, practical language that people can actually understand and use.
That experience continues to shape how I approach financial planning today. I believe trust is built through communication, and that people should feel comfortable asking questions and confident in the answers they receive.
What I enjoy most about this profession is helping people make sense of complex decisions and giving them the clarity to move forward with confidence.
Most summer weekends, you'll find me at the cabin on Lake Winnipeg enjoying time with family and friends.
Recent adventures have taken me to Barbados and Greece, but some of the destinations I'm most excited to explore are right here in Canada.
Whether it's a game of cribbage, a round of Catan, or the occasional charades showdown, I never pass up an opportunity for a game night.
I enjoy a little friendly competition on the golf course and have been known to mention a good shot once or twice... or for the next few weeks.
